The Founder is a character in "Z Nation", first encountered in Season 4 Episode 1 "Warren's Dream".
Background[]
First introduced in Season 3, but it is not until Season 4 that his appearance is revealed. And what a face, an old bald man carrying around an oxygen tank. The Founder is the leader of Zona, a compound of people handpicked by him to live on an island, safe from the zombie virus.
The Founder claims he "saw it all coming", so he had set up his place in Zona. He speaks of "The Reset", his plan to cleanse the remaining world from zombies and the few surviving humans, so that the people of Zona can repopulate the world after using Murphy's blood to create a cure for the zombie virus.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Nothing is known about The Founder prior to the apocalypse, other than that he knew that the zombie apocalypse was coming.

Season 4[]
"Warren's Dream"[]
The Founder is seen at Zona, greeting Warren after she wakes up from a coma. The Founder is seen at the dining hall, getting covered from Warren violently stabbing the cake Murphy had made.
"Escape from Zona"[]
Murphy, Warren, and Harold go inside The Founder's house to ask him if they can borrow the helicopter. After Harold asks The founder for the helicopter, The Founder declares Harold "The Most Dangerous Man Alive" and many more obscure things which is a sign of his brain slowly decaying.
