This Southern Illinois House is a house that the Westward-Bound Survivors stop at to rest up and relax on their journey to Mount Wilson in California.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
This home was owned by some farmers who seemingly died or left the home abandoned during the apocalypse. The address of the home is 1923 on an unknown road in Southern Illinois. The home seemed to have many survival preparations as the house still had electricity, running water, and an electric fence to guard against intruders. It seems that the house was in a small town rather than being very rural. The town is not far from Castle Point, Missouri.
Post-Apocalypse[]
At some point the home owners seemed to have died as Garnett says he really likes what they did with the flowers and the garden, but Warren comments on “too bad they’re dead”.
The group stops here on their long journey, they clean up, get rest, and eat some food. Mack and Addy go upstairs and find one of the rooms filled with dead bodies, they go into another bedroom to have sex. Doc and Murphy play cards and bet pain killers, Murphy wins many times. 10k reads a magazine while Cassandra takes a nap.
Eventually, a large thunderstorm passes over the house and lightning strikes the electric fence nearby cutting off the power grid. This causes zombies to begin to enter the property, Warren and Garnett alert everyone and tell them “ we gotta go”. The group quickly packs up as zombies enter the house. The group leaves the house abandoning it. They siphon gas to continue their journey.
