The School is a location in Black Summer. It appears in the episodes "Summer School" and "Alone."
Description[]
Exterior[]
The outside of the school consists of brown walls and multiple windows. There are school buses next to it. It also has an emergency exit door on the roof in which Lance goes into.
Interior[]
The inside of the school consists of various areas:
- Hallways - This is the most common seen area of the School. Some contain beige lockers, some contain red lockers, and other contain gray lockers.
- Office - This is where Rose’s Group go to so that they can get the medical supplies. It is shown to have computers, and several desks. It appears again when Spears and Lance discover that the medical supplies are stolen, and had to look for a door key.
- Music Room - This is where Rose's Group puts the medical supplies. It is shown to have various musical instruments. In there, Ryan was able to play the drum but was stopped; although Lance did; he plays it loudly and Spears stops him immediately as the noise attracts the zombies. Later, Spears and Lance return and the medical supplies were gone.
- Basketball Court - This is where Ryan and Rose go to when they search for the boy. Basketballs appear to be scattered on the floor, and it is shown to have basketball nets. It appears once again when Rose exits the P.E. changing room after Ryan is not with her anymore.
- P.E. Changing Room - This is what connects to the Basketball Court. It is shown to have blue lockers, a sink, and a trash can, as well as the showers. Ryan and Rose go in there after walking through the Basketball Court. Ryan walks to the area where the showers are, and looks at it feeling shocked, before starting to become nauseated, indicating that there is something in the showers. Rose tells Ryan if he is okay, but instead she looks at the showers. Upon Rose's point of view, the showers appear to have a pile of corpses on it, which makes Rose puke. She turns around to find Ryan no longer with her, so she exits the P.E. changing room.
- Art Room - This is where Rose goes to when she is searching for the crying sound. It is shown to have paintings and desks.
- Janitor's Room - This is where Spears and Lance go to when finding a door key after discovering that the medical supplies are gone. It appears to have pipes on the ceiling, and it is shown to have shelves and cleaning supplies. In there, Lance activates a tripwire and gets trapped on the other side.
- Restroom - This is where Rose goes to and gets trapped. It is shown to have sinks, and a toilet, and appears to be connected to a larger room filled with beige and blue lockers. In there, Rose thinks she has found the child, only to reveal that it was a megaphone, and it changes to laughter after that.
- Capture Area - This is where the leader and the other teens take Ryan to. It appears to be a classroom that has been taken over and it is shown to have a video game, multiple tools, weapons, and chairs where victims are captured.
- Classroom - This is where Rose and Spears go to when they run away from the Infected Ryan. In there, Spears manages to shoot Ryan in the back a few times, but unsuccessful.
- Cafeteria - This is where Rose and Spears go to. It is shown to have tables and chairs, and there is a closed gate where the teens yell at Ryan to attack Rose and Spears. It also connects to an exit.
- Computer Lab - This is where Lance goes to. It is shown to have desks and computers. It also has bookshelves, where Lance takes out a book and reads something. He leaves immediately after hearing gunshots.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown if the corpses in the showers were zombies that have been killed, or why they were put in the showers.
- The megaphone in the restroom is possibly used to attract victims that thinks there is a crying child in there.
