Nothing is known about Rick's life prior to the outbreak except that he married Jane and he had family in Castle Point, Missouri.

Season 1[]
"Home Sweet Zombie"[]
Rick travels to Missouri with his wife Jane.
There, they encounter the Westward-Bound Survivor Group in Castle Point, Missouri.
Jane and Rick have been told by a fireman to go to a certain address for shelter from the storm. The house belongs to Roberta Warren and her husband Antoine.
Rick is badly injured and Doc has to perform meatball surgery in the basement of the house.
As to the end of the episode Jane and Rick are still alive, and left on the street outside the house wrecked by the Z-nado. They state that their going to look for Rick’s family nearby. Doc gives them his morphine so that Rick’s pain will subside.
His fate after the episode is unknown.
