Pup is a dog first encountered in Season 1 of Z Nation.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known about Pup's life prior to the zombie apocalypse, it is assumed that he lived in the Arctic with his owner. In the Arctic, Pup survived three years into the apocalypse. However, when the dog was being taken to the Northern Light listening post, his owner froze to death. It is unknown what Pup's original name was before he encountered Citizen Z.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Season 1[]
"Fracking Zombies"[]
The sled dog saved by Citizen Z is called Pup. He lives at The Northern Light listening post with Citizen Z after another sled dog turned into a zombie and attacked Citizen Z. Citizen Z saved the dog and has lived with him since. He then sees that one of the dogs is still alive and brings it in to save it. However, inside a zombie dog attacks them, Simon shoots it but it gets away. He searches the building for the dog and finds the living one and gives it water but they hear a strange noise and he runs away. He later sees the dogs fighting worried for his dog he breaks off a piece of a box and jumps down and kills the zombie husky.
Pup's fate in the later seasons is unknown, though it is likely he died between seasons, as he has not been seen with Citizen Z, Kaya, JZ, and Kaya's Nana since they traveled to the United States in Season 5.
