New York City was the largest city in the United States. Many people lived there before the ZN1 apocalypse.
Background[]
Founded in 1624 by The Dutch it was known as New Amsterdam but later when the British acquired it, became a major port city. It later grew into one of the largest and major cities in the whole world.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
This city was just like any other one, bustling with people and life. Many people worked in the downtown area and lived in the suburbs.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Presumably, the city fell to the undead in large numbers as the nearby city area is filled with ruined vehicles and in the first scene of “Puppies and Kittens” we see a short clip of NYC with ruined aircraft crashed into buildings and fire breaking out. In “Fracking Zombies” the Westward Survivor Group’s vehicles break down after passing the Tappen Zee Bridge and they stop at a nearby viewpoint to repair the vehicles. However, they find out that zombies had been caught in their wheel wells so they give the zombies mercy and contemplate what to do next. The group looks out at the cities skyline and Warren says “it never gets more beautiful”. Garnett says “to take a good look cause we might not be back for awhile” and Murphy finally says “see you in the next life!”.
