Background[]
The Mount Rushmore National Monument was carved into Mount Rushmore between 1927 and 1941. Prior to the outbreak, Mount Rushmore was a popular tourist attraction. Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Post Apocalypse[]
After the outbreak, Mount Rushmore was abandoned. Later on an unknown person tagged and defaced the monument to make the statue look undead.
The Westward-bound survivor group passed by the monument and saw that some survivors had tagged the faces with Z-specific graffiti. They needed to take a break and they saw the damage, Murphy exclaiming “this is why we can’t have nice things”. With Roberta saying whoever did that is “gonna get a woopin’”.
