Lance is a main character and a survivor of the outbreak in Black Summer, making his first appearance in ”Human Flow”. He ends up traveling with Rose, Julias James, and Ryan. After being separated from them he finds himself struggling to survive and makes it his mission to travel to the stadium, even if he has to do it alone. He is a member of Rose’s group.
Pre-Apocalypse
Not much is known about Lance's life before the outbreak. It is assumed that he had a family with a currently unknown fate. He was seen traveling with a man who was later devoured by a zombie. It is unknown if this man was a member of his family or a close friend.

Lance
Lance is seen traveling with an man with a gun. A zombie spots the two through a gate but is unable to break it down. The zombie eventually finds a path through a house, reaches them outside on a lawn, and presumably devours the man with the gun. The man calls for Lance's help but Lance runs away terrified.

Lance is among the citizens attempting to get past the gates. When the citizens break through the gates Lance is among the people to go through. Rose offers for Lance and Ryan to come with them.
