Nothing is known about Jane's life prior to the outbreak except that she is married to Rick.

Season 1[]
"Home Sweet Zombie"[]
She travels to Missouri with her husband Rick.
They both encounter the Westward-Bound Survivor Group in Castle Point, Missouri.
Jane and Rick have been told by a fireman to go to a certain address for shelter from the storm. The house belongs to Roberta Warren and her husband Antoine.
Rick is badly injured and Doc has to perform meatball surgery in the basement of the house.
At the end of the episode, Jane and Rick are still alive, and left on the street outside the house wrecked by the Z-nado. Her fate after the episode is unknown. Jane says that they are going to look for Rick’s family nearby and say that they’ll be ok. Doc gives them his morphine so that Rick’s pain will subside.
