The Black Hills are an area in Southwest South Dakota near Wyoming. The area includes the City of Edgemont and Mount Rushmore.
Background[]
They are an isolated mountain range rising from the Great Plains of North America in western South Dakota and extending into Wyoming, United States. Black Elk Peak, which rises to 7,242 feet, is the range's highest summit. The name of the range in Lakota is Pahá Sápa. It encompasses the Black Hills National Forest.
Post-Apocalypse[]
The area was overrun by Zombies and many areas where left deserted and destroyed. Edgemont was heavily affected with only 3 people left alive living in the town keeping the Nuclear Power Plant from failing. The Westward Bound Survivors travelled through the area by walking from Nebraska all the way to Edgemont. At some point someone defaced the Mount Rushmore landmark.
